Our principles
You can always do better. These four principles shape our philosophy.
1. Longevity is the best environmental protection
We do our best to produce high-quality products that last for years and are easy to maintain, so that your wood stays beautiful and lively for as long as possible. Because wood is only the most sustainable building material if we use it for a long time. For us, quality means longevity, regionality, low footprint and the largest possible percentage of renewable raw materials. Not only do we focus on highest quality standards, but we are also uncompromising in seeing our customers as our highest priority. That's why we develop products that are safe to use and easy to handle, making wood as beautiful as you imagine it to be. Because it is your living space.
2. Do no harm
We are aware of the fact that we influence our environment in many ways. Based on our corporate philosophy, it is in our best interest to keep our "Global Footprint" as small as possible. Our responsibility begins with product development and the purchase of raw materials, which should be as regional as possible, and extends through production and delivery, to the application and use of the surfaces treated with our products. Every day we strive to combine environmentally friendly products with high user quality in such a way that you can enjoy your wood for as long as possible.
3. Do it as well as you can
We are, of course, certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001, but that is by no means enough for us. As one of only a few medium-sized companies, we also have been tested and certified in accordance with the environmental standard DIN ISO 14001. In 2019, we became the second paint manufacturer worldwide to become a certified B Corporation. In co-operation with the international Climate Neutral Group, we also ensure that our production and logistics are CO2-neutral. And of course we also have our products individually tested and approved. Depending on the area of application, e.g. by the Institute for Building Biology (IBR) in Rosenheim or according to the principles of the DiBt, the EU and other international standards and regulations. So you can be sure that your products are exactly what you are looking for.
4. Stronger together
We have our own philosophy. And that includes that we want to be a responsible member of society. That's why we strive to achieve demanding sustainability certifications such as the B Corporation and support, among others, the UN initiative "Business for 1.5° C". We are also part of a regional society and must ensure that employees, suppliers and customers are treated (and paid) fairly. In our online magazine timberlove.blog we not only give tips and advice on our products, but also focus on sustainability and environmental issues that are close to our hearts. And if you like what we are interested in, we are of course most happy.
