PNZ Board Balm

The natural care balm especially for chopping boards that no kitchen should be without. Food-safe. Sustainably produced with regional raw materials.

Suitable for

Wooden chopping boards. Also for wooden cutlery, tables, furniture, worktops, toys and decorative furnishings. Particularly suitable for the aftercare of pre-oiled surfaces. Brettl-Balsam is saliva and perspiration resistant, food-safe in accordance with EN 1186-3, refreshes the wood and at the same time protects against dirt and moisture.

Product Characteristics
Consumption

Approximately 20-40 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Board Balm is enough for approximately 25-50 per coat, depending on the kind of wood and surface. The exact quantity can be determined by way of a trial application.

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean the cloth or coating tool with a suitable thinner immediately after use.

Application/Use
  • The wooden substrate has to be dry, clean and free of dust and grease.
  • A prior treatment with an appropriate transparent oil increases resistance against all liquids, such as beer, wine and water.
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.
  • Painted furniture should be tested for color fastness on a discreet spot.
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8°C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%

Apply Board Balm thinly and evenly to wood using a lint-free cloth. After thoroughly drying the surface can be polished along the grain using a cloth or brush. Consider applying a second treatment for highly absorbent surfaces.
