Suitable for

Any strained interior surfaces, like wooden floors, cork, OSB boards, glued wood, countertops and furniture. Even in damp areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Suitable for kindergartens, schools, nursing homes, etc. Hardwax Oil evolution is a moisture-regulating surface product based on natural raw materials. The treated areas are highly water-repellent and resistant to common foods and household chemicals.

Consumption

Approximately 20-30 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Hardwax Oil evolution is enough for a maximum of 50 m² per application, depending on the kind of wood and surface.

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use.

Refined natural oils such as soybean and sunflower oil, isoaliphates, waxes, additives, lead-free drying agents, titanium dioxide, pigments.

Important notices

Safety data sheet available on request. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. Wear a dust mask when sanding. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. When using multiple containers with different batch numbers mix them together in a bigger container. Dispose of contents / container according to local / regional / national / international guidelines. ASN: 080111. EU limit for this product (A/f): 700 g/l. This product contains max. 560 g/l VOC.

Application/Use
  • Surface has to be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (consider sanding).
  • Strip or sand painted surfaces (final sanding with 150 grain or finer).
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8 °C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%.
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.
  • Stir contents well before and during use.
  • Repair holes and cracks with a suitable repair paste.
  • Touch dry in 3-4 hours. Drying time depends on temperature and air humidity.
  • Final hardness is achieved in 8-10 days, protect against moisture during this period.

Hardwax Oil evolution can be applied by hand or machine. Apply first coat thinly and evenly with brush, roller, pad or block brush. Apply second coat just like the first at the earliest 5-8 hours afterwards, but within 24 hours. An intermediate sanding is generally not required, but for matt surfaces it improves the look and feel. Wooden planks can be treated individually before installation. Polish in Hardwax Oil to achieve a beautiful and even surface. Simply collect the excess after 10 minutes and use a pad to polish.
